A home full of personality
On a crisp winter morning, we visit Isabelle Kvist in her light-filled 1920s apartment on Södermalm. The city is quiet outside, but inside, color and character immediately draw you in.
Isabelle lives here with her boyfriend Thomas, together they share the love for aesthetics, detail, and atmosphere. The apartment is rooted in Scandinavian design, yet playful and personal, applying color thoughtfully in every room to give the apartment its distinct character.
“Hi, I’m Isabelle. I work in marketing and have always loved creating beautiful spaces. Welcome to my home.”
IT´S A FEELING
“For me, home is where everything makes sense. It’s where I gather people, set the table, and start fresh. And this is my Saturday morning.”
In Isabelle’s world, home is not just a place: it’s a feeling. A space for connection. And above all, a table where stories begin.
“I always set the table with intention. Color and texture make such a difference.”
THE CONTRASTS
At the center of the dining room stands a table by Bruno Mathsson, surrounded by original Orchestra chairs, timeless silhouettes that ground the room in design history while allowing texture and color to take space around them.
The kitchen, painted in a bright yellow palette, brings both joy and softness to slow mornings. It’s a gentle contrast to Isabelle’s dynamic life in the PR world. Above the coffee station, Isabelle has created a personal plate wall, a curated mix of Mateus pieces, including favorites from the Oyster collection, combined with retro vintage finds collected over time. The display feels spontaneous yet intentional.
“My days are often fast-paced, so mornings at home mean a lot to me. It’s where everything slows down.”
Working at renowned agency Redgert Comms, Isabelle’s schedule is often filled with meetings and business trips. Home becomes her sanctuary, a place where rhythm softens and rituals take over.
“Mateus feels timeless to me, but still expressive. You can mix it, live with it, and make it your own.”
